Over the years, we’ve seen carbon and aluminum cranks fail under serious use. So OAK set out to build the crank they would trust on their own bikes. In the lab, they hammered the Meteor with extreme loads, fine-tuning the shape to achieve a perfect balance of strength and weight. Since development began in 2021, they had our heaviest, most aggressive test riders thrash it - and they are convinced: the OAK Meteor is the crank riders want to ride.

Ergonomics for less fatigue:
Oaks engineers and team riders have worked intensively on the OAK SH brake lever and have surpassed the already good ergonomics of the original Shimano brake levers. Through numerous tests they have succeeded in developing a brake lever that reduces the strain on your hands. The unique Grip-Face surface offers optimal grip even when the hands are wet or sweaty. The shape of the lever wraps around your brake finger like a hook and prevents it from slipping out of your finger in extreme cases. The decisive difference to stay confident on the bike.

Stability and durability:
All OAK SH brake levers are milled from a high-strength aluminum alloy and offer excellent stability thanks to their well thought-out design.
The OAK SH brake lever is impressive and usually survives even heavy falls unscathed without bending or breaking. It is also easy to disassemble and service.

Increased rigidity for maximum performance:
You will feel the increased rigidity immediately when braking through a more direct power transmission, which makes the brake easier to control. You will love the control over your brakes!

Stronger torsion springs: Reduced pulling force and less noise
The OAK SH brake lever uses a stronger preload spring that securely preloads the lever in its starting position. This way it ensures that the lever stays in its defined position in the event of a hard landing or vibrations. The springs reduce the initial finger force required to operate the brake. Due to the reduced play and the stronger spring, the OAK SH brake lever returns to its starting position with less cushioning and therefore a little slower. This has no negative impact on your braking points, as the spring is completely relaxed when you release the lever. It only applies its force later on.
